Formal photos
I love taking the emotional photos that capture real moments, and that's mostly what I put on the blog. But I can and do take the required family photos (Bride with her parents, with siblings, etc.) as many or as few as my clients desire. I have my degree in photography which is a big help! Here are some photos of Debbie and Bjorn that her mom just ordered. Won't these look great in a 5x7 bi-fold frame?

Happy Anniversary to Melissa & John!
I hope they had a great year-- they sure had a great wedding day! We stopped by the river before hitting the reception and got fabulous photos. It was a VERY cold February day but it sure doesn't show in the pictures. See their album here.

Brooke & Brian's Guestbook!
I love that each design can be just about anything. Here is Brooke & Brian's with pink pages and green borders. I think it looks fabulous and the guests are sure to ooh and ahh on their wedding day!
All of my clients can get a guest book with their engagement package, or swap it for a custom-framed and matted 11x14. Here is the rest of this guest book.

FIsheye!
Not many photographers have the fisheye lens and it's not a must-have lens to shoot weddings. But I sure get a lot of comments about my fisheye shots. I may only use it 3 times on a wedding day-- but all 3 will be keepers!!! Here are some images shot with that lens:

Another new Guest Book!
Here is Natalie and David's guest book. I just started offering these books last year and they have been such a huge hit! Couple's love having their engagement pictures in a book and guests love looking at all the photos on the wedding day. Guests can sign the book using a Sharpie marker, which come in all colors.
See the rest of their guest book here.

The parent album has arrived!
This is the album Rebecca's mom ordered last month. What I love is that it is NOT a clone of Rebecca's. I did a complete re-design so the mom could have her own album with all her favorites in it. Rebecca's album is a 10x10 Storybook, the standard size, and the parent album is an 8x8.
See the rest here. And compare with Rebecca's album here.

Nice email from a 2006 client!

Hi there, Liz!
This is Lindsay W. You may not remember me, but you did my wedding at Copper Memorial Methodist in June 2006. You of course did an awesome job so I definitely recommended you to my sister, Courtney who is getting married in August. I believe she already emailed you to inquire about your service, but I just wanted to tell you that I have been helping her to plan the wedding and we met with a photographer last weekend that a family friend works for who had great photos, but the personable service was not even comparable. I told her immediately to check your website. It is not worth the money to spend when you don't know what kind of organization you will be getting. I just wanted to write and let you know how much your service was appreciated, and hopefully we will get to experience another wedding together this summer!!
Thanks again, Lindsay

Wedding at My Old Kentucky Home
I'm talking to a bride who is getting married at My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown. What a gorgeous place to have a wedding. Here are some photos from last time I was there.
And check out their amazing storybook wedding album-- I even put their engagement pics in the beginning.

Booked another wedding!
A warm welcome to Angela and David, who are my first 2009 clients. I usually start booking for the next year in March so 2009 is off to a great start! I only have a handful of dates left for 2008, so check my Dates Booked to see if your date is available.

New Storybook Album arrived!
Michelle & Randy have been married for less than 3 months and their album is here! How awesome is that? I spend extra time working on each couple's pics and album design while they are on their honeymoon and do everything I can to get their album to them as soon as possible. I hear stories all the time of brides waiting 8 months or even a year for their album.... I just think that is unacceptable.

When I started my business, I chose to set it up the way I would want it if I were a bride. Of course, my brides don't have to order their album right away and some don't. But everyone sure appreciates the option of getting things fast!
Anyway, this album is so pretty--- be sure to check out their romantic photos on the river when viewing the rest of their album. More about Michelle & Randy's day here and here.

Sepia!
I love bringing out the best in each photo. This image looks good in color, black and white, and sepia. But I think sepia is the winner. When your wedding and engagement proofs are posted online, you can view the color images in black & white and sepia, as well. And every image ordered is retouched to correct mild acne, shiny foreheads, laugh lines, and other imperfections--yay!!!

My clients got me where I am today.

Hey Liz, I was just looking at your website to see if you had put up anything new and I read the comment from Brooke I think it was that said she was looking at a friend's album and it does not compare to your work. She is absolutely right, I was looking at a friend's album and she was married 4 months before Jeremy and I and she got her album around the same time that we did. Although her book was very pretty and she looked beautiful in her pictures it just did not compare to the work you did on our album. Their photographer used several of the same pictures throughout their book and maybe that was their choice I don't know but I just love the way we were able to incorporate so many of our wedding pictures into our book. You did a fabulous job! Can I come work for you. I would love to be your assistant.

P.S. Is tomorrow okay to pick up those pictures.

Rebecca

(Ok, I may be a little biased, but I think I have the nicest clients!!!)

I do my best to treat my clients like gold. I don't do mailouts or much advertising or even the big bridal shows. I believe if I treat my clients well, then they will tell their friends. That's it. So now 80% of my new clients come from referrals. Awesome! Thank you to all my now-married clients. If there's every anything I can do for you, please let me know.

See Rebecca & Jeremy's album here.

Fun with the Guest Book!
These are so much fun to design and can be completely custom. Here is a 2-page spread from Brooke & Brian's- my first pink one, and it has green borders!
The first page has the wedding date and location, but I blurred it to keep out the wedding crashers! See it all here.

It will be finished into a hard bound book with the couple's names or date on the front. The guests can use a colored Sharpie marker to sign around the photos. Here are Brooke's comments:

Hey Liz! I love the bigger pictures and border!!!!! I love the whole thing! I do want a black cover with the silver writing. I love that my guest book will be different from everyone else's so far! ....(My mom) keeps trying to hang my big picture on her wall because it is sitting over here until I can hang it on my wall. She definitely needs her own! Thanks Liz!
