Another completed Storybook Album!
Jennifer and Andy chose the classic glove black cover with their names branded on the front. Their album really showcases the vivid colors of their day, and captures all the emotion. See for yourself-- each Storybook album really IS story-telling!

Heads-up about this week
My best friend's mom passed away and so I will be in Florida to be with my friend the rest of this week. Joanne quit her job to be home and take care of her mom so this will be a big adjustment for her. I'm going to cook for her and just be there for her as much as I can.

I pre-blogged some stuff so if all goes well you should still have something to read almost every day....

Megan & Ryan took the plunge!!!!
Megan looks so relaxed... you wouldn't know to look at her that her reception and church venues both canceled just 2 days before her wedding!!! Flowers by Lloyds-- aren't they awesome?
Ryan and the guys were just crazy! I think you have to be a wrestling fan to appreciate what is going on here...!
They got to hold hands-- but did not see each other-- before the ceremony. Awwww.
An absolutely gorgeous ceremony in her parent's backyard.... This was the original plan a year and half ago-- and mom said it couldn't be done what with wanting 325 guests-- and of course you never know what the weather will do! Well, it worked out just fine! Thanks to all the neighbors helping with valet parking and getting the yard ready.
(Trying) to cut the biggest wedding cake I've ever seen! This is a re-creation of the castle in Europe where Ryan proposed to Megan. He proposed on the rooftop on the right. The cake was made by the always-awesome Geraldine of Artistry in Cakes.
The reception (booked just 2 days before the wedding!) was the lovely Brown & Williamson Club. The band was the always-cool This That and the Other and they really rocked the house. This was at least the third time I've worked with them and I highly recommend them! Megan's Dad and brother got up on stage for a couple songs as a surprise to Megan. And later, the happy couple took the stage, too!
I'm so glad everything worked out so beautifully for them. What a story they now have to tell! Stay tuned for their Storybook Album. But first, Jessica & Chad's then Brooke & Brian's!

What happened last Saturday....Everyone's been asking me what happened with Megan & Ryan-- the ones who's wedding venues canceled on them due to no electricity from the big windstorm. The reception canceled on Wednesday and the church canceled Thursday! So there went a year and a half of careful planning!!!

Well, everyone pulled through for them. Megan's parents offered to have the wedding in their backyard. The neighbors got together and removed fallen trees from the windstorm and mowed their lawn. The bridesmaids pitched in to call all 325 guests. Plus the pastor, the limo company, florist, cake baker, the band and everyone else had to be notified!

On the day of the ceremony, the power was to be cut off at the house so the utility workers could make some repairs down the street. The neighbors got together and pleaded with them to please turn the power back on and wait till after the wedding-- which they did!

Friends/neighbors also volunteered to park cars for the guests. And it looked to me like all 325 showed! How great is that? And I loved during the ceremony when the pastor mentioned the mailman's creed (neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, etc.). That is so true-- nothing was going to stop these two from getting married!

So that's them at the top of this post. Such a beautiful setting and so amazing that this was pulled together in just two days!

What a wonderful story Megan and Ryan will be able to tell on each anniversary! Check back later this week for more pics!
Happy One Year Anniversary to Kelly & Stephen!
I love how their album starts out, especially the first page, and I have many fond memories of their happy day. Be sure to check out all the details in their album! And congratulations Kelly & Stephen!!!

Getting married and Windstorm 2008Imagine that while Louisville is recovering from over 400 broken utility poles and over 6000 downed power lines that you are getting married the Saturday after the storm. And imagine a couple days before your wedding both the church and the reception sites CANCEL due to lack of electricity. Well, I just can't imagine but that is exactly what happened to Megan and Ryan who are getting married today.

I do know that everything is going to turn out wonderfully for them. Check back next week for the details and pictures!

And what a crazy week-- I hope if you don't have your electricity back yet that it comes on soon!

Put some love on your walls!
I always think it's wonderful when couples choose to put a few romantic photos of themselves on display in their home. And some kissy-shots in the bedroom can help put out some good vibes, too! This is the latest picture I've custom-framed and is for Hannah & Michael. They are getting married next week!!!

Happy One Year Anniversary to Bethany & Doug!
I remember how beautiful the weather was for their wedding day. We had (finally!) gotten through the horrid heat wave of 2007 and now it was a perfect 71 degrees. Bethany and Doug and all their guests had so much fun doing UL & UK chants at the reception- what a fun day they had!

Bethany has a great personality-- check out how she laughs-- actually LAUGHS-- when her cake collapses!

The next Storybook Album......will be Jessica & Chad's. It rained on their wedding day-- and they laughed!!! What a fun day it was. I look forward to creating a one-of-kind Storybook Album for them.

Kim & Blake's Album is here! They chose the classic black with silver for their album. Each page opens flat and the pages won't bend or get dog-eared. These are beautiful albums that will get passed down the generations! Kim & Blake's album captures the romance of their day- be sure to check it out!

Why I am I so fast with these albums? Because I set up my whole business around what I would want if I were a bride. I don't photograph babies, pets, families so I can focus exclusively on weddings.

Custom FramingI do custom framing and can help you choose the right mat and frame to really show off your photos! These are both 16x20s that I framed recently. The top one is Kim & John's and has the deluxe non-glare glass. The other one is Megan & Ryan's and I left the glass off so the guests can sign around the mat. I love framing (but only if it is of my photography!) and I will be sure to post the next ones I do.

Court & Curt are married!
The bride wore sneakers!Getting the shirt cut off. That's sister Lindsay doing the deed (I shot Lindsay & Mike's wedding in 2006).
The beautiful flowers were by Dixie FloristGorgeous setting at My Old Kentucky Home.
The First Dance was a YouTube moment when they surprised everyone by doing a wild and fun routine!
And yes, he even jumped over her!
Things got really crazy after that and there were moments when first the groom, and then the bride were turned upside down!
I had such a great time shooting Court and Curt's wedding day. Court showed her fun side by wearing sneakers down the aisle-- and Curt put his sneakers on at the reception! Everyone including the guests picked up on the fun vibe-- I think I laughed all through the day. Oh-my-gosh, I sure do love my job! More pics later!
