Locust Grove weddings
I love how each wedding is unique-- even if I'm looking at two from the same venue. Here are some of my favorite photos from Heather and Dathan's big day, and then from Jennifer and Andy. Both weddings were at historic Locust Grove.
If you would like to see a Storybook Album from a particular venue, just email me. I have a whole library of these albums!

The Thank You card is not dead.
At least in my world, it's not. I often receive cards from couples or their families. This one is from Brad's mom that she send along with a photo order. I love the line:

"Thank you for keeping the memory alive through your pictures."

Thank you to all who have sent cards over the years.

Booked yet another wedding!
A big welcome to Lori and David who booked me just in time. I had another bride wanting me for the same date. I hate when I have to turn business away.... But there is only one of me so be sure to check my availability before locking in your date.

And a warm welcome to Lori and David who are planning a lovely wedding later this year!

Putting a Storybook page on the wall!
What a great idea Sherry had-- to enlarge a page from your wedding album and get it framed. These are actual album pages that I think will give you some ideas of what you might like for yours. Of course I can also custom-design a special collage just for the walls.

From Dana & Blake's album:
From Allison & Matt's album:
Two from Stephanie & Danny's album:
From Heather & Luke's album:
From Katie & Todd's album:
From Natalie & David's album:
Look at your walls and have fun thinking of the possibilities!

Another new Storybook Album!
Happy Monday! This is a parent Storybook Album-- yes parents can choose a traditional matted album or get a completely custom-designed Storybook Album all their own. This is Brooke's parent's album which is quite different from Brooke and Brian's album.

Here's mom Sherry's comments:

I love it! Is there a way to get a big 16x20 or 20x24 that looks like the page in the book with the fountain but I want it just like the page out of the album----with the other 3 photos on the picture too? I like the collage look. That is my favorite page in the album. Just let me know but I love my storybook, Thanks, sherry

The image she's talking about is the last page spread that I've posted above. She wants the collage page enlarged and framed just like it's designed. I told her it will look absolutely stunning! And if anyone wants a page out of their album blown up and framed, let me know. I think it's such a cool idea!

Booked another wedding!
Wow, I really am booking 2009 right and left. Already I'm getting inquiries for 2010 so that's not too soon, either. 2009 has some openings left but be sure to check my availability as I can only do one wedding a day.

And a big welcome to Erin & Nathan who I haven't even met yet! I'm very excited about their day and look forward to meeting them.

Here's what Kelly & Lonnie had to say...
Ok, can I just say that I LOVE my job? I put my heart into creating these albums and my clients really appreciate it. Barely a day goes by that I don't get at least one happy email. Here's Kelly's reaction to her album:

Hi Liz!

I am amazed at our storybook album!!! What a great job you did of capturing our day!! Lonnie and I did make a few changes, just let me know if you have any questions. We did also choose to do an add-on. I am so excited!!! I bet designing these albums is your favorite part of your business, and I can see why!!!

Thanks Liz, we'll talk soon,
Kelly

My clients don't have the hassle of picking out the images for their album. I spend the whole wedding day with them and I really pay attention to the key moments of the day. Then I pick out the images and make the design with them making changes as they wish. Everyone agrees that this way makes it so much easier.

Sure glad I went to art school!

Wedding Party Pics
When I photograph the wedding party, I want to capture the bond and natural energy that the group share. And mostly I want to capture the FUN! So first I will take a warm relaxed group shot like this one from Megan & David's day:
And then some fun ones that capture the happy vibe of the group:

Booked another wedding
A big welcome to Katheryn & Eric who are ready to tie the knot this Spring. Katheryn heard about me from Kira and John, who got married in 2006. Thanks to all my clients for spreading the word!

New Storybook Album!
Grab some popcorn and settle in to watch one of the biggest albums I've ever designed. There was SO much going on I was glad to have all the pages to tell Kelly & Lonnie's story. Check it out, put your feet up, and enjoy the show!

Storybook PARENT Albums!
Yup, parents can get their very own Storybook Album, too. And it's not a clone of the original either. I know that parents have their own favorites so I completely custom-design a Storybook Album just for them. This album is physically smaller than the main album, but is just right for parents!

So this is the parent album for Natalie and David's wedding. Natalie's mom wanted me to keep a couple pages from the original album but the rest is all new. Compare them for yourself!

More frames!
I offer all kinds of frames including ready-made collage frames. This frame holds 4x6 photos and can be hung horizontally or vertically. The classic black with the double white mats sure looks good on any wall. The frame is only $48 including the photos-- and I even put them in for you!

This is Heather and Luke's engagement and wedding collage. Her parents gave these to her as a surprise-- how sweet!

Anniversary Wishes
Did you know I was out of town 20 days in December? I had two 10-day trips- one was the cruise and one was time with my family in Florida. Anyway...that's my excuse for not blogging about these anniversaries. I'm glad I finally remembered!
So, belated Happy Anniversary to Liz and Curtis. They hired me for just two hours. Look at what you can get for a two-hour custom package! Of course, you have to book me last minute or on an off-night to get it. But it's good to know that I can customize my packages to fit your needs.
And Happy Anniversary to Shannon and Michael. I wish you all the best in 2009!

Megan & Ryan's reaction to their Storybook Album

Hey Liz!!

This album is absolutely amazing! Ryan and I couldn't be any happier. My mom was also amazed. You told such a perfect story of our day through this album and chose our most favorite photos. We can't believe how many of our favorite moments and photos that you chose to include. You are truly a mind reader. :) We LOVE your creativity and the fact that you chose both traditional and candid shots. It helps to truly show the feeling of our big day. THe opening and closing pages are PERFECT and the page with the flowers on the side and our yard and guests in the middle is SO COOL!

We did want to add a few photos and switch one, which I documented in the attached in red. I think there are 5 small changes.

After these additions/changes, we are ready to order. WE CAN'T WAIT to get it and show off our album and your talents!

Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Megan

I love-love-love making these albums and I love that each one is completely unique. And the best thing is, I save my clients the hassle of having to pick out the photos themselves. As you can see, I somehow manage to do a good job of choosing the right ones!!!

Megan and Ryan are sure to enjoy their album for years to come. I will be sure to show you the actual leather album once it is complete.

New Albany Indiana wedding, Christina & Jed
Christina and Jed are married, oh yeah! What a great way to kick off 2009! Here are some highlights:

Gorgeous dress-- love how it looks with the elegant furnishings at The Grand.
Wedding dresses can be complicated...and at least one bridesmaid was relieved that the dress was finally ON!
One of my favorites....
Relaxed and happy portraits, my specialty!
OK, so this was a first: as Christina and Jed prepared to feed each other cake...
They instead smashed the best man and maid of honor! I can still hear the laughter!!
What a blast their day was! The whole day went perfectly (other than a few mishaps involving stairs!) and the reception was quite the party. Louisville's best DJ, Jack Gill (Dance Party Unlimited 502.225.0236) got everybody on the dance floor! I will show you more pics later...

A sneak-peek at Christina & Jed's wedding...
So can you just tell what a fun day this was? The wedding party (and Dani and I) had a blast last Saturday. I will show you more pics tomorrow!
