Seelbach wedding photos
Here's a Storybook Album a little different from the other ones. I did more of a hip, urban style for my California couple, Marie & Bryan. They got married at Holy Trinity and the wedding reception was at the Seelbach.
See their album here.

Brooke & Brian
I can't wait to photograph Brooke & Brian's wedding. Brooke stopped by last week to pick up their 16x20 from their engagement session.

Here's what she emailed me:

And by the way, everyone loved our big picture!!! I really love your work! I have looked at a friend's wedding album recently and it just doesn't even compare to your work!
Thanks,
Brooke

Three weddings at the same church!
I actually have three weddings this year at Caldwell Chapel. Such a beautiful church-- it's easy to see why brides love it!

More photos of the fabulous custom Guest Books!
It's so awesome to have a Guest Book featuring your engagement session!!!

New Guest Book Designs!
I'm custom-designing guest books for my couples to use for people to sign-in at their weddings. I'm using their engagement photos in the books and it is so cool! How great to have a book with your engagement photos and all the guests comments and best wishes. Couples will leave this out and enjoy looking through it for years and years. This is something I started offering last year and is the hottest thing right now!

This is a two page spread of Matt & Alli's design. See the rest here.
Here is David & Natalie's design. See the rest here.
Since all the backgrounds are done in Photoshop, the possibilities are endless. You can have lined or unlined pages and backgrounds of any color. These come in hardbound books with nonbendable pages. The covers are leather and can be chocolate or black. I'll post some pics of the actual books later.

See some different designs here and here. And people can sign with Sharpies or silver pens!

Two of us!
Did you know that ALL of my Storybook Album packages include TWO photographers? I rotate among several assistants that have been with me for years, mainly Pinkie & Dani. We are a team and it really helps the day run smoothly. AND...we can be two places at once!
I was with the girls when Dani covered the guys getting ready. And Pinkie got the last few moments before Karen walked down the aisle....! So a big thank you to Dani & Pinkie- I couldn't do it without you.

Booked another wedding!
Welcome to Hannah & Michael who are planning a beautiful outdoor wedding this September. They both seem like such nice people and I can't wait to photograph their day. And we are going to do an engagement session in June. I'll be sure to post some pics here, of course!

Downtown Engagement Session
I do like that the weather here in Louisville always changes. I can usually sneak in an engagement session or two in the winter-- as I did last week with Brittany & Jay. Theirs quickly turned into a steamy make-out session and it sure looked like they were having fun. We even re-enacted the final scene from "Pretty Woman" on the fire escape!
Check out their wedding this April!

Running into brides
Saturday I was spotted at the mall by former brides Kelly and Kolleen. They are twin sisters and I photographed Kelly's wedding in 2002 and Kolleen's in 2003. So that goes waaaaaay back!
Here's a scanned-in photo of Kelly and Nathan from their engagement session. I still remember their incredibly moving ceremony. They wrote their vows and Kelly teared up so much during hers that it took her a while to get through them. I was in the balcony during this and looked down and saw that everyone was crying! Since then they've had a couple kids-- and Kolleen & Tim also have two kids. Congratulations you guys and I hope to see you at a wedding later this year!

Another New Storybook Album Design!
Can you guess how much fun these are to make? Each one is completely different because it captures the uniqueness of the day. My secret is that I was a graphic designer so that really helps in laying out the pages so they flow. BUT...I also really pay attention that day so I know what things are extra special and need to be included.
Shannon and Michael are both outgoing people who know how to have a good time. What a breeze it was to shoot their wedding day with these two always smiling or laughing!

Booked another wedding!

A warm welcome to Caren and Robbie, my newest clients. I met with Caren and her mom today and they are so organized. Other than the bridesmaids dresses, they have just about everything for the big day in October. It helps that her mom is a caterer and will be taking care of the food and wedding cake! Email Mary for a quote for your cake or catering. And congratulations Caren & Robbie-- I look forward to your engagement shoot in the spring!

And Caren found out about me from Sonya. My photos of her wedding were published in Kentucky Bridal magazine- that's Sonya & Brian on the cover!

Parents can get one, too
Did you know that the parents of the bride and groom can get a Storybook Album, too? And...the best part is that it is NOT a clone of the couple's album. It is a completely custom album so that parents can include their own favorite shots. Here is the parent album I designed for Rebecca's mom & dad. Click here to see the rest.
And here is Rebecca's own album for comparison. (Even though she was married in October she got her actual leather album in time for Christmas to show everybody!). Click here to see it all.

New Storybook Album Design!
I created a custom package for Liz & Curtis. I was there only about two hours to capture the getting ready moments and the ceremony. I'm so glad that they will have a Storybook Album-- something they will cherish for decades to come. So, yes, I do offer custom packages so you can have exactly what you want.

Here is a the first page from their Storybook Album:

Putting romance on the walls
So many of my clients order big prints for their homes and for their parents. I can also do collages or even add text to a photo.

Dana & Blake were happily surprised with this photo ordered by her bridesmaid. The text says "Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." The print is a full-frame 16x24 and they plan to hang it in their living room.
Brooke & Brian ordered this in a 16x20 which I am also framing. I have a full size framing room with wood and metal samples and all the mats so that you can take home your finished photo ready for hanging on the wall.

I'm back from vacation!
I joined my mom and my brother and his family for a cruise to Belize.

This one is of Florida.
Inside the cruise ship. We cruised to Belize, Cozumel and Grand Cayman.
Belize.
We spent Christmas Day doing a zipline tour -- SUCH a blast!!! That is sis-in-law Kathleen showing how it's done.
I did NOT like the straight down rappel drops-- one was a 5 story free-fall. Note my look of relief after the last rappel!!!
Cozumel was lush and scenic.
The only downside is that no one does my work for me while I'm gone!!!
