Heather & Dathan's wedding day!
They planned a gorgeous outdoor wedding and it rained pretty hard just two hours before the ceremony-- but they kept on smiling and then the sun came out. Everything started looking good again and...they had the wedding they'd been dreaming of!

Locust Grove looked so amazing. Breelyn of Tres Chic Events took care of all the details including pinning down one of the longest aisle runners I've ever seen.

It was a little warm on Saturday but Heather and Dathan danced all night. Their joy got everyone up and on the floor. Here they are kicking things off with their First Dance.

So now they have their toes in the sand in Hawaii--!!! Congratulations you two, I can't wait to show you the rest of your pictures....

Booked another wedding yesterday!
Yesterday I met with Kim & Blake and we clicked right away. They just got engaged three weeks ago and seem so very much in love. They are getting married next Spring. 2008 seems like it is going to be a big year for me-- I'm already nearly halfway booked for the year!!! A big welcome to all my new clients. Mango Update
M little puppy is not so little anymore! He is almost full grown at 25 pounds. He spends most of his days curled up at my feet and loves to get his belly rubbed. Everyone who meets hims comments on how well-mannered and laid back he is. He is not one to jump or bark.

He knows to smile for the camera!

Karen & Spencer are Mr & Mrs!
What a great couple-- Dani and I so enjoyed getting to know them. When I met with Karen a couple times before the wedding she kept telling me what a great man Spencer is and how he treats her like gold. Awwww.

The wedding was at Gloria Dei in Elizabethtown.

During the ceremony the bride and groom and the pastor were all smiles!

Spencer's brother is serving in Afghanistan and was an honorary groomsman. He got to see and hear the ceremony via satellite hookup. That's his mom and sisters with Spencer talking to him-- how sweet!

Booked another wedding!
I am well on my way to filling 2008-yay! A big welcome to Barbara & Larry who are getting married next March. I met with her and her wonderful wedding planner, Marti, recently and I am excited about the plans for the Big Day. Barbara works with the mom of one of my brides, Karen. I'm also doing Karen's sister's wedding-- and her maid of honor's! So a big shout out to Karen for telling everyone about me! She and Greg just got married in June and here they are with their fun and happy wedding party.

That's sis Kelly next to Karen- she's getting married next month. Holly is standing next to Greg and she will be walking down the aisle in October. Thanks again-- and enjoy the blog!

Happy News!
I think it's great that my 2006 brides keep me posted on their news-- and that they keep reading the blog! My work is so personal and after spending such an important day with the bride and groom we become bonded on some level. (Once you are married- you will know what I mean!) So I want to say congratulations to Shannon & Gathan, Erin & James, and Carrie & Craig who all got married in 2006 and are all expecting a baby in 2007! Here is a sweet note Erin sent:

New Album Design!
Here is Erin & Tony's Storybook Album design! I've had so much fun working on it and I really like how it flows. Her pale pink wedding gown was just gorgeous and I loved how Erin lit up every time Tony was near!

Jennifer & Jeff got married!
It was a fabulous day at Huber's Orchard and Winery. Jennifer & Jeff were as calm as could be all day. Dani (my amazing assistant) and I only wish we could have gone with them to Hawaii!

They saw each other before the ceremony-- look how beautiful their ceremony site was.

I met Becky last week to talk about her Fall wedding. We really clicked and I'm so glad I will be photographing her Big Day. I also met with Stephanie and Danny who know two of my 2006 clients. Both couples seem so fun and carefree! I feel very lucky to be in such a happy business....

Weekend in St. Louis
Steve (my hunky husband) and I spent the past few days in St. Louis. We checked out the sites and had a fun time!

We rented bikes in Forest Park -- what a beautiful area!

On Saturday, I saw wedding parties ALL DAY LONG! At this spot in Forest Park, we saw 8 wedding parties in a 20 minute period! And I love the aqua gown this bridesmaid is wearing.
