There's a dog in the album!
And not just any dog, either. Maggie is very special to newlyweds Aleisa and Josh. I know this because I took a photo of Maggie with the two of them during their engagement session. When I photographed Aleisa and Josh on their wedding day, her mom made a comment that she wished Maggie could have been there to be in a picture. And that's when I decided I would find a way to include her when I designed the album.

I always love the 'getting ready' page~~~

Don't they look great?

I love the kiss-kiss-kiss of this page!

What a great entrance!

Here's what Aleisa had to say when she saw the design:

Hey Liz,
I LOVE the storybook album! You did such a great job putting it all together and capturing our day. I love that you even included Maggie in the end. Thank you so much for being a part of our day, Pinkie too! We enjoyed working with you so much. I'm glad to be married, but the planning was so fun. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. I don't know how I will pick a favorite. Thanks again!
Aleisa

I'm very happy with how it came out. Check out the rest of their album design to see Maggie!

A new Storybook Album!!!
Wow. There were SO many photos and I just loved them all! I made a very special album design for Jessica & Jason-- I added words to just about every page. I know they wanted the words on the last page, but I thought up all the rest. It's easy to add or change text to an album design and I love that everyone has the opportunity to personalize their own album. So Jessica and Jason can edit the design as they wish.

Here's a page I've never done before. These photos were taken just before the ceremony- which is what makes them so special. That's Jessica with her mom and sister sharing a loving moment right before she has to line up with her dad. And I also think the ones with both sets of parents (and the two moms hugging) are very sweet. And that's Jessica hugging her sister just moments before she walks down the aisle.

Here's what Jessica had to say about the design (yay! I'm so glad she likes it!)

Liz,

WOW! Those are absolutely phenomenal!! There are no words to describe the feelings we had looking at those pictures! It all fits together so perfectly!

Thank you so much!

Jessica

I am interested in what YOU think about it. I did put a lot of time in it and would really appr
eciate any feedback. Email me with your thoughts, thanks!

Bridget & Mat's Storybook Album

Bridget came over last week to make the final design changes. We mostly added more of her favorite pictures and re-built the toast & cake page to show more of the cake. We also added the very-cool UL and UK cakes!

This is the photo that will be on the front of her album. She chose a dark chocolate brown leather cover which I think will look very nice. I'll be sure to post a photo of the album when it arrives.

When you look at the completed album design, be sure to check out the last page: The Ali Center is using that image for a magazine ad and a brochure!!!

More photos from Jessica & Jason's wedding day!
What an adorable couple they are- I just love looking at the photos of them together. And Jason is so romantic- he wrote a long love letter to her in a card he had delivered to her room as she was getting ready. Later, I saw him write her a note just before his photo session. You can bet their Storybook Album will be all about romance! I will post their design soon. Meanwhile, you can read more about their day here.

FYI, the wedding was at Holy Spirit and the reception was at Hurstbourne Country Club.

Look what arrived yesterday!

As many of you know, I got married last year and I have set up my business the way I would want it if I was a bride. One thing I know for sure is that nobody wants to wait a long time for pictures. In fact, this time of year I work around the clock so I can show newlyweds their proofs as soon as possible. The same thing goes for getting the Storybook album to you. And I think I have set a new record on this one-- ! This is Kimberly and Brian's album that they will be picking up this week. And they just got married 7 weeks ago! They will get to show everybody at Thanksgiving- how great is that?

One of the cool things we did on their wedding day is a shot I call the 'door shot' because we usually do it on either side of an open door. Kimberly and Brian stood at the ends of a wall and held hands-- but did not see each other because it was before the ceremony. I love doing that shot, it is so romantic!

The panoramas get the most 'oohs' when my clients show off their albums. Kimberly and Brian will have fun recognizing all their guests in this photo.

The page layouts are unlimited. That's why I love designing these books so much-- each one is a unique as the day itself. See all of their album here.

Booked another wedding last week!
A warm welcome to my newest couple, Jennifer & Eddie, who are getting married in the Spring. It won't be long I suppose before they become 'blog addicts' like everyone else!!! And thanks to all of you for continuing to spread the word about me- I really appreciate it.

Check my dates booked to see if your date is available.

Amy & Jose's Wedding Album
Remember this great couple? They got married in August and it seemed every photo I took of them was portfolio material. It was just one postcard after another!!! I designed their album a couple months ago but life got in the way of them editing it. Among other things, they are in the middle of moving. (In fact, they are going to be just down the street from me- so we are going to be neighbors. I will probably run into them in Kroger someday!)

Anyway, Amy came over last week and we made revisions to the original design. There weren't too many changes. We swapped a few pictures and made some of her favorite ones bigger. You know, I design each and every album 'blind' in that I get no initial input from the bride and groom. I just take my vision and run with it. Every single album I've designed this year is on the blog and you can see how unique they are. They really are works of the heart and it's very rewarding when couple after couple tells me how much they love my design work.

So Amy & Jose will get their album by Christmas-yay! Here is another of my many favorite photos from their day. Click on their final album design that will be online permanently for them. (How cool is that? They can show anybody just about anywhere anytime!)

Chris & Kari's wedding album design!
Here are a few page layouts from their Storybook Album design. I'm sure they are excited to get it so soon. When they booked me last year I didn't have the new album to show them so they made an extra visit in the Spring just so they could see it. As Kari said, "This is something a celebrity would have!"

When I designed their album I wanted to capture the red theme and I tried something new on one spread: color on the photo borders and selectively on the flower girl's dress. I also have the color border on a couple other spreads.... And they are a very romantic couple so I really wanted to get all their smooching!!!

Here's the complete design. (Just for fun, try counting how many photos show them kissing!!!)

Special moments...
Another advantage of having two photographers is that we both can be on the lookout for candid family photos. Dani took this great shot of the groom's sister and her daughter at a recent wedding. This image is very dear to the family and I thought I would share it. It's a wonderful mother-daughter moment, don't you think?

More pictures from Chris & Kari's wedding day!
As promised, here are more pictures from their Big Day. The wedding was at St. Margaret Mary and the reception was at Kroger Banquet Hall. This is the one where they did the butterfly release- I love the photo of Kari looking at all the butterflies. There was a lot of red and white going on...and a lot of kissing!!! Chris and Kari are such a romantic couple and I love all the dance floor photos. I am working on their album right now and (of course) will post it here as soon as it is finished.

Christina & Allen's completed album design
This is the one that includes their engagement pictures, has chapters and has the wedding color of Tea Rose all throughout. We revised it to include more of their favorite pictures, added words from their vows on one of the engagement pages, and switched out a few others. They chose the Glove Black cover with a full length photo of the two of them on the front.

I know they can't wait to see it-- I will post pictures of it when it gets here so everyone can see...!
Check out their album design here.

Bridget & Mat's Storybook Wedding Album!!!
I'm so glad I was able to finish this in time for Bridget and Mat to look over and order in time for Christmas. I really like how the album captures the fun and energy from that HUGE wedding party- including the adorable little ones. The 'Getting Ready' page has one of the little flowergirls in the background showing off her dress- it's so cute!

Here's what Bridget had to say when she saw it:

Liz,
First of all, you are so fast!! I can't believe the work you've already done! It was so fun to look at the album! That day is so crazy that I don't even know how everything looked, so it is so nice to have these pics! I love it!!!!! Thanks again...I couldn't be more pleased!
Bridget

Be sure to check out the last page of their wedding album design-- it's a postcard!

Kimberly and Brian's Wedding Album
Kimberly came over last week to finalize their album. She made about 3 changes to the design where we swapped out a few pictures. I love it and I know they will be thrilled for years and years- and then will be able to pass it down the family. Here is the photo she picked for the cover, it is Brian's favorite. I will post pics when the album gets here- they'll have it by Christmas, yay!!!

This is the wedding where we had planned to take outdoor photos at Locust Grove but it rained, and then we ended up with AWESOME photos at the Seelbach. See the album here.

Another new arrival!
Angela and Andrew have been anxiously awaiting their Storybook Album. They got married in August and are so excited to have their album so soon!!! This is the one I blogged about in September when I was designing it-- it has the Super Soaker page.

You can see the rest of the album here. I love their very last page- it has so much action it's like a movie scene!

Another Storybook Album Design is in the works
I'm designing Mat & Bridget's wedding album right now. Shortly before the ceremony, Dani & I told Mat how beautiful Bridget looked. He asked if we took a photo he requested, one with her veil over her head. We said that we did and the light coming in from the stained glass made her look like an angel. He then said, "She's MY angel." Awwwww. They look so sweet together and I love the romantic photos of their first dance....

Here's the collage, click on it to enlarge. I will be posting their album design soon.

And here's an email Bridget wrote when they returned from their honeymoon:

Liz,

Mat and I would like to thank you for working so hard and making our wedding night carefree. Your personality and professionalism created a fun environment for us all. We already love the pics you have posted, especially the outside one! And cannot wait to see more!! So many people have commented on the fact they thought the photographer was wonderful! Thanks again...talk to you soon!

Today's engagement session
What can I say? Everything was perfect! The Fall trees were colorful, the sky was blue and it was 68 degrees. But the best part was that Melissa and Josh made it so easy. They laughed, cuddled, and smooched while I took 'postcards' of them with all the gorgeous trees. We took some photos on a wooden bridge, on the swings and all around Cherokee Park. They have such great chemistry- can you tell?

They will use some of the pictures in their slideshow at their reception. They also get a custom-framed and matted 11x14 that people can sign around if they want.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather holds so I can do some more engagement sessions next weekend. I am available Saturday & Sunday next weekend. Book your engagement session now so you won't have to wait until next year!

A big 'thank you' to Jessica!
She sent me not one, but TWO brides in the past month!!! Way to go, Jessica! Thanks so much- I really appreciate it. And a big welcome to my two newest brides-to-be, Kelly and Mindy.

Christina & Allen's over-the-top album
Here's my latest Storybook Album design! I went all-out and put extras in their book. I included photos from their engagement shoot- how cool! Also on the second spread I wrote sweet nothings. I designed this album as a surprise to them and they can make changes as they wish. So Christina and Allen can always customize it to put in their very own sweet nothings...! (I've had people include words from their vows, invitation or program as well as their own special phrases.)

Tea rose was THE color of the day. It was in Christina's dress and was the color of the bridesmaids dresses. I made chapters and used the exact color from one of the dresses to be sure it was right. I also used the tea rose on some of the photo borders.

Whew! I put a lot in it but there was a lot going on. Christina and Allen booked me well over a year ago and they have such great chemistry. The laugh all the time and just light up when the other is near. The beautiful wedding was at My Old Kentucky Home, and you can see how I was able to use a lot of the settings in the album. The flowers were by Nanz & Kraft.

See the new design here.

Kira & John's Storybook album arrived!
They've been married less than 3 months and soon will have their album to show everyone. Here is a nice email I received from Kira today:

Thanks again, Liz, for the wonderful job you did. You made our wedding day better than we expected by creating such beautiful memories for us to cherish! We have heard nothing but compliments on your work and we couldn't agree more. Not only were you and Pinkie fun to work with but you made the experience stress free (and that's rare when planning a wedding). We will always be grateful for your work!
Kira and John

Alanna & Tim's red & white wedding
Remember the red & white theme in Alanna & Tim's wedding last month? I carried that theme all throughout their album design and Alanna decided to go bold with the RED cover and white page edges. I think it will tie everything in perfectly. Like many of my clients- she kept my design exactly as I made it- what a compliment! I can't wait to see the album and (of course) will post pictures here as soon as it is in. See all the red & white in their album design here.

Also at the reception...
I saw Mylantha and Micah at the reception last night. I photographed their wedding over two years ago at Garden Court (my- how time flies!). Here are some pics from their day:
