Booked another wedding!
A warm welcome to Becky and Steve-- who are already married!!! Next year will be their 10 year anniversary and they are doing it right with a renewal ceremony complete with a full wedding and reception. They have three children and I am so looking forward to including special images of them throughout the day. We've already planned to get photos of dad (the groom) helping the boys get ready and mom (the bride) helping her daughter.

I HIGHLY recommend that you pass this renewal celebration idea along to your married friends. It seems like SO much fun and I can't wait!!!

Photographing real moments
One of the reasons I love shooting weddings so much is written right on the top of this page: "Capturing all the emotion of the bride and groom's Big Day." I am honored to be able to preserve memories and moments that the couple will look back on for years and years.

This photo is of Heather and Luke right after they walked down the aisle as 'husband and wife'. This image says it all, doesn't it?

And you can be sure I will find a place for it in their Storybook Album, which I will post here soon.
Hear me now!
I'll be on the radio talking about Liz Images tomorrow (Wednesday). The show is from 9am-noon but I am planned to be on shortly after 10am. A big shout-out to 300 Spring for inviting me and for hosting the event.

My famous Huddle Shot!
A couple years ago I had a bunch of wild and crazy groomsmen at Jason & Jessica's wedding and I came up with what became known as the Huddle Shot-- and it is now one of my most popular images-- and so much fun! As you can see, we need enough guys to at least sort of form a circle! This was taken Saturday at David and Natalie's wedding-- that's David in the ivory vest. I can't wait to show you some more pics from their day. Check back later this week.

Louisville wedding, Ashley & Eric
I know it's going to be a great day when I get to shoot a wedding at St. Paul's United Methodist-- which has those lovely red doors. Flowers by Nanz & Kraft
Cutting the tee-shirt cut off!
Love this detail shot of Ashley's mom helping her get dressed.
The guys were completely wild and were always making silly faces.
But the girls could be pretty crazy, too!
Which of course makes for a totally out of control wedding party!!!
Taken after being married all of one minute...
Lovin' their first dance~~~ At the Old Medical Building
Followed by a complete throw-down!!! (Ouch!!!)

Ever since I met Ashley through Rebecca and Jeremy I have been so looking forward to their day. It turned out beautifully for them and the reception was quite the party! What I loved most was in spite of all the break-dancing and other craziness of the party, Eric and Ashley stayed close to each other all night.

Ashley & Eric, hope you are having a blast in tropics and congratulations!!!

New Storybook Album!
As you know, I make these from scratch and I tailor each one just for the couple. Allison chose this really cool color for her wedding called 'pool' and I noticed she used it all throughout her day, such as in the flowers and on the cake. Well I really liked it too so I decided to surprise the couple with pool borders on all their photos!!! (I figured if they didn't like it we could always change it...)

Here's their reaction:

It's Alli and Matt. Well, we really loved our album, especially how you created the border of pool around each picture, that really makes them stand out!

They made about two photo swaps and that was it. So they've been married just over a month and their wedding album is completely designed and ready to be ordered. Be sure to check out their pool-licious album!!!

A rave from a recent bride!
This is from Dana, who got married last month:

And I have to tell you, I attended a wedding over the weekend and seeing their photographer made me really appreciate you even more. The photographer was in the way then ENTIRE wedding ceremony and reception. I couldn't believe it. You were so behind the scenes the entire time we nearly forgot you were even there. This photographer was telling them how to cut the cake, stand a certain way, etc. It was awful! I felt so bad for the bride and groom. The wedding party and the bride and groom kept saying "are we done with pictures yet?" Not to mention she went crazy with all the family pics after the wedding. It was absolutely ridiculous! It took them an hour for after wedding pics. I'm just so happy and fortunate that I found you Liz. You made my day so special and it has been captured in such a way that no one else could have done. You're AMAZING!

Here is Dana's current album-- stay tuned for the updated one!

More pictures from Heather & Luke's wedding!
I had so much fun just now re-living their day as I picked out photos for their collage. I can't wait to get started on their Storybook Album. Here's what Heather had to say about her pictures:

We are enjoying all of the wedding pictures! I wanted to let you know that I had such an amazing time that day, and a great deal of it was because of you. I was so impressed-I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything because you were so organized! And we enjoyed having you and Pinkie around-it didn't feel like we had photographers hanging around, it felt like we had another couple friends in our group :) And everyone loves the pictures. I find myself looking at them just about every other day. Thanks for everything, and we can't wait to see the album when it is ready!

Katie & Todd's awesome Storybook Album!
I had a tough time picking just 4 photos to show you. I love-love-love the gorgeous Sage Green leather with the silver. And all of their album captures the majestic Hurstbourne Country Club so well.

Katie and Todd received their Storybook Album well ahead of their three month anniversary-- how quick is that?
And yes, this time of year I work around the clock-- but love it and will miss it when it slows down later!

More pictures from Allison & Matt's Big Day!
Theirs will be the next Storybook Album. The wedding color was 'pool' and Allison just loves the color and so do I. I will be sure to include it in their album somewhere-- stay tuned!

New Storybook Album!
Here are a few page spreads from Dana & Blake's Storybook Album-- I included their engagement photos AND it has chapters!!! I'm making a few tweaks to the design later this week to add in a few more of their favorite photos-- and even an extra page! They chose the Sage Leather cover with their names in silver-- it's going to look awesome!

I just have to say I'm so pleased with all the weddings I have been working on!! All of these Storybook Albums have been so fun to make-- I love that each one is unique and custom for each day.

Megan & Ryan's custom Guest Book
They just approved their design and I'm ordering the book now. They will be the first to get the red cover. Covers also come in navy, black and chocolate brown. I'll be sure to post pics of the super-sharp red guest book when it gets here! And check out the newest Guest Book-- I blurred out the church & reception to keep out the wedding crashers ;-)

Louisville Engagement Session, Hannah & Michael
What perfect weather we had, and I felt like I was making postcards all during Hannah & Michael's e-session. They have a great bond-- which really came out every time they were in each other's arms. Can't wait for their September wedding!

More pics from Dana & Blake's day
Click on the collage to see the pictures bigger. And here's Dana's response when she saw all of her pictures online--

Hey Liz! I got your e-mail early this morning and I've been staring at the pics for about an hour now! LOL! I've gotta get to work but I can't quit looking at them. They are gorgeous and I LOVE every single one of them. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy with how all of them have turned out and I simply can't wait to see the storybook album. I'm so excited to have received this email this Monday morning. What a great way to start the week! I can't wait to get back home this afternoon and look at them again. You captured all the great moments and I just love all the candid moments that you were able to capture. And the reception pics are fabulous! I love the way the lighting looks and all the happy faces. :) And, OMG...the pics outside are stunning. I'm so glad we ventured out there when we did. Those are some of my favorites. Again, thank you so much for everything you did for us that special day. You are truly one of a kind. Take care and I'll see ya soon!

Every album really IS different!
I thought I would show you how each album is unique. I don't use templates or layouts. I just design around the day. All of the most recent storybook designs have a toast & cake page so here are my last three cake pages so you can compare. The top one is Elizabeth & Michael's, then Kim & Blake's, followed by Jennifer and Andy.

And stay tuned for the next Storybook Album, coming soon!
Brittany & Jay's Storybook Album is here!
It arrived on their 3 month anniversary, how cool is that? I know I'm super-fast getting the albums ordered.... What can I say? I aim to please! Brittany & Jay's album matches their wedding day--emotional moments balanced with a fun, festive spirit. (And don't you love the cover with the silver trim?)
My CW tv show experience...
Going on the show this morning was an absolute blast. Thanks to all the people at CW for making me feel comfortable-- and making it so easy! And thanks to all of you who were watching and to everyone who emailed me. I'm pretty full for this year but look forward to filling up 2009!

A new Storybook Album!
Here is Jennifer & Andy's Storybook Album. Everyone has been raving about how these albums are completely custom-designed and are as unique as each wedding day. My secret is that I used to work as a graphic designer and that has been such a plus in making these designs.

Watch this space for future Storybook Albums: Dana & Blake's, Allison & Matt's, and Heather & Luke's.
