Calling all September brides
I had a couple dates open up so if you know of anyone getting married in the first half of September, have them contact me.

Introducing the new BLUE Guest Book
Until now, there's been chocolate brown and black covers for the custom guest books. Now there is blue and red. Heather and Luke were the first to order the blue-- doesn't it look great? Note how you can still see the blue cover when it is open.
The guest books are custom-designed using your engagement photos. How great to have your engagement pictures preserved in a book-- and then your wedding guests get to see them and sign on the pages. Be sure to check out the rest of Heather & Luke's guest book.

Dramatic light engagement session
Here is a peek at Megan & Ryan's engagement session last week. We wanted to do something different so we shot just before sunset to get the dramatic low light. This session was all about chasing the light. Megan & Ryan totally enjoyed themselves-- and so did I. It was a fun adventure. I will post more photos later. What's so great about a dramatic light session is that we don't have to do it on weekends, we can shoot on weekdays after work.

When the shadows are long we get this marvelous soft lighting-- love it!

New Guest Book Design!
Here is Kelly & Lonnie's guest book design. This is the first one I have done with ivory pages and brown borders. I actually sampled a photo of an ivory dress to get the color just right.
Be sure to check out their completed design. And then see the new Guest Book page I created. I've had so many people interested in this latest-greatest thing that I put together a Custom Guest Book library that shows all the different ways they can be made-- so far! I will keep adding to it as I create more designs!

The next custom-designed Storybook Album that I will be posting is Katie and Todd's. As you can see, I have plenty to work with!!! I will post it next week.

Louisville wedding, Kim & Blake
Kim & Blake are married!!! Everything went so smoothly for them and it was great seeing the wedding party and both families having so much fun, too. And what a wedding party- there were eight attendants on each side, whoo-hoo! On to the pictures:

The honeymoon destination was Blake's surprise to Kim, how sweet is that? I know where they are but I'm not telling. It IS somewhere warm with beaches, though!!!

Another new Storybook Album!
This is Stephanie & Danny's custom album design. They had the great colors of meadow green, espresso brown and pink. I did the photo borders on her page in the green and his page in the brown. I felt the borders needed to be wider to appreciate the green but decided to wait to see what they think. I also suggested some pink borders in there if they wish. So this album is a work in progress and I will post their final album when it is complete.

Booked another wedding!
A big welcome to Kayla and Patrick who are getting married later this year. They are planning a gorgeous outdoor wedding and I can't wait to photograph it. And stay tuned for their engagement session....!

Can't believe it's been a year already. Hope they have had a good first year and I wish them many more years of happiness. I know they were thrilled with their Storybook Album- it was so much fun to create for them.

Elizabeth & Michael got married last Saturday!
Here is a wonderful Louisville wedding that took place at the beautiful Caldwell Chapel. My blog addicts will remember I was last there after the great Blizzard of "08! This time the weather was perfect!

The wedding party had a good time, too. The ringbearer was only three but he held up well all day. His parents promised him a pirate ship if he would smile- which he did.
And so he got a HUGE pirate ship at the reception-- this shows only half of it!

And now the happy couple are honeymooning in Italy. What a great way to begin a marriage!!!

Kim & John are the newest Liz Images clients and so a big welcome to them. I will be posting their engagement photos later on, and then their wedding photos this November.

New Album Design!
Here is Brittany & Jay's Storybook Album design. I'm really pleased with how it came out. I have other photographers ask me all the time how I do it. They can't believe I have the design completed before the couple has even viewed their pictures...!

Honestly, these albums just design themselves. I do my best to pay attention during the wedding day so I know the moments that are precious to the bride and groom. I don't use any album software so that each design is what it is meant to be. (I'm not trying to fit them into some kind template-- each album is completely unique!) All couples are invited to make changes to the album so it is exactly what they want (After all, I'm not psychic!! hee-hee) Anyway, about a third of my couples make changes and the rest love the albums exactly how they are. How awesome is that???
