Stephanie & Robert are married!
Stephanie with one of the flower girls....
A pretty ceremony at Duncan Memorial.
Thanking the flower girls for doing such a wonderful job. (And they were especially careful not to walk up the aisle too fast...)
Hanging around at The Brown before their reception....
And this is them-- always laughing-- I love it!
One last favorite romantic of them:
I had their date open just a month or so before they booked me, so I gave them a good deal for just a few hours of shooting. No album, but they can always add one later. And what a sweet couple they are! There was something very special about having a small intimate ceremony--- everyone felt like they were a part of their day.

Now they are in Costa Rica-- what fun they will have. Congratulations to you both, I so enjoyed your lovely day!
Booked another wedding!
A big welcome to high school sweethearts Leahora & Brad, who are getting married later this year. We have some special romantic pictures planned by the river-- I can't wait! And I have just one or two 2008 openings and am steadily booking 2009 so check my dates booked to see if your date is still available.

Parent Albums!
In addition to the traditional matted album, I offer parents their very own Storybook Album, custom-designed for them. It is not a clone of the bride and groom's because I know the parents will have their own favorites.

Here is a brand-new Storybook Parent Album custom-designed for Dana's parents.
And here is another Storybook Parent Album designed for Rebecca's parents for comparison.

I love-love-love that all of my album designs are completely different!

Dana & Blake's final album designI worked together with the happy couple to get the album exactly as they wanted it. We added pages, made the borders wider, and generally had a good ol' time playing with the album! Here is their completed album design. And Dana's very happy reaction:

Liz,

I literally just got chills veiwing my album. :) It's so beautiful...I almost cried! I LOVE it and I think it has turned out perfect. You're a genius! :) You did such a great job and I really do appreciate all the hard work you have done on this album just for me. :)

I'm so very happy with this album. You have no idea!! I can't express into words how grateful and happy I am to have had you as my wedding photographer. I can't wait to show this baby off! WOOHOO!

Elizabeth and Michael's Storybook Album is here!I do weddings-only and that is such a plus because I can focus on getting orders to my clients. Most of my clients receive their albums before their three month anniversary-- how awesome is that? Elizabeth and Michael's Storybook Album arrived last week and I have been enjoying looking at it over and over. It was hard to pick out just four favorite pages!

The second photographer....
It's such a plus that all of my album packages include two photographers so that we can be in two places at once, get different angles, etc. I have two main assistant photographers, Dani and Pinkie. Dani has been shooting with me for four years and she has quite the knack for getting great romantic shots on the sly. The top image is one I made of Monica and Jason and the one below it is Dani's shot taken at the same time. They loved it so much they put it on the cover of their album!

Below is one of Dani's photos I just framed for her-- isn't it great?

Louisville wedding photography, Natalie & David
So many pictures I could show you from last Saturday it was hard to limit them to these 10. Plus, I posted that huddle shot from their wedding, too! A big shout-out to Pinkie. ALL of my album packages include two photographers and while I was getting the bridesmaids walking down the aisle, she got those shots of Natalie and her father. I love that we can be in two places at once!

Congratulations to my newest newlyweds. Can't wait to show you the rest of your pictures!

Booked another wedding!
A warm welcome to Becky and Steve-- who are already married!!! Next year will be their 10 year anniversary and they are doing it right with a renewal ceremony complete with a full wedding and reception. They have three children and I am so looking forward to including special images of them throughout the day. We've already planned to get photos of dad (the groom) helping the boys get ready and mom (the bride) helping her daughter.

I HIGHLY recommend that you pass this renewal celebration idea along to your married friends. It seems like SO much fun and I can't wait!!!

Photographing real moments
One of the reasons I love shooting weddings so much is written right on the top of this page: "Capturing all the emotion of the bride and groom's Big Day." I am honored to be able to preserve memories and moments that the couple will look back on for years and years.

This photo is of Heather and Luke right after they walked down the aisle as 'husband and wife'. This image says it all, doesn't it?

And you can be sure I will find a place for it in their Storybook Album, which I will post here soon.
Hear me now!
I'll be on the radio talking about Liz Images tomorrow (Wednesday). The show is from 9am-noon but I am planned to be on shortly after 10am. A big shout-out to 300 Spring for inviting me and for hosting the event.

My famous Huddle Shot!
A couple years ago I had a bunch of wild and crazy groomsmen at Jason & Jessica's wedding and I came up with what became known as the Huddle Shot-- and it is now one of my most popular images-- and so much fun! As you can see, we need enough guys to at least sort of form a circle! This was taken Saturday at David and Natalie's wedding-- that's David in the ivory vest. I can't wait to show you some more pics from their day. Check back later this week.

Louisville wedding, Ashley & Eric
I know it's going to be a great day when I get to shoot a wedding at St. Paul's United Methodist-- which has those lovely red doors. Flowers by Nanz & Kraft
Cutting the tee-shirt cut off!
Love this detail shot of Ashley's mom helping her get dressed.
The guys were completely wild and were always making silly faces.
But the girls could be pretty crazy, too!
Which of course makes for a totally out of control wedding party!!!
Taken after being married all of one minute...
Lovin' their first dance~~~ At the Old Medical Building
Followed by a complete throw-down!!! (Ouch!!!)

Ever since I met Ashley through Rebecca and Jeremy I have been so looking forward to their day. It turned out beautifully for them and the reception was quite the party! What I loved most was in spite of all the break-dancing and other craziness of the party, Eric and Ashley stayed close to each other all night.

Ashley & Eric, hope you are having a blast in tropics and congratulations!!!

New Storybook Album!
As you know, I make these from scratch and I tailor each one just for the couple. Allison chose this really cool color for her wedding called 'pool' and I noticed she used it all throughout her day, such as in the flowers and on the cake. Well I really liked it too so I decided to surprise the couple with pool borders on all their photos!!! (I figured if they didn't like it we could always change it...)

Here's their reaction:

It's Alli and Matt. Well, we really loved our album, especially how you created the border of pool around each picture, that really makes them stand out!

They made about two photo swaps and that was it. So they've been married just over a month and their wedding album is completely designed and ready to be ordered. Be sure to check out their pool-licious album!!!

A rave from a recent bride!
This is from Dana, who got married last month:

And I have to tell you, I attended a wedding over the weekend and seeing their photographer made me really appreciate you even more. The photographer was in the way then ENTIRE wedding ceremony and reception. I couldn't believe it. You were so behind the scenes the entire time we nearly forgot you were even there. This photographer was telling them how to cut the cake, stand a certain way, etc. It was awful! I felt so bad for the bride and groom. The wedding party and the bride and groom kept saying "are we done with pictures yet?" Not to mention she went crazy with all the family pics after the wedding. It was absolutely ridiculous! It took them an hour for after wedding pics. I'm just so happy and fortunate that I found you Liz. You made my day so special and it has been captured in such a way that no one else could have done. You're AMAZING!

Here is Dana's current album-- stay tuned for the updated one!
