Sarah & Craig are now Mr & Mrs!
The happy couple booked me over a year ago, and I have to say, after spending their wedding day with them- Sarah & Craig seem to be a great match! Craig's grandparents have been married 64 years (and won the Anniversary Dance) and Matt the DJ said he expects to see the newlyweds back in 64 years! I would not be surprised at all!
Family seems to be very important to the bride and groom- the wedding party was made up entirely of brothers and sisters and cousins. And Sarah wore her grandmother's wedding dress! And what a dress-- 50 years old! I kept overhearing people ooh & ahh about such a fabulous vintage dress. I think Dani put it best when she said it looks like something for the cover of a Harlequin Romance!
Sarah wore her hair down in a cascade of curls.
Craig looked relaxed before the ceremony.
After the kiss- a heartfelt hug. Awwww!
Looking at the ring immediately after.
Lots of winter themed things to take photos of at the church and at 300 Spring. The keepsake candles had a card that said "Thank you for warming our winter wedding."
Fun and laughter just before the garter toss.
They danced to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo. Don't they look great together?
An emotional Daddy-Daughter dance-- quite a few people teared up. Even Dani & I got misty-eyed!
Dancing the night away!
So now they are on their two week honeymoon in Hawaii! Lucky them! Check back soon as I will be posting a collage of their day later.

Booked another wedding!
Today I met with Nikki & Hilton who booked me for their 2007 wedding- the reception is going to be on a horse farm with LOTS of opportunities for romantic pictures of the new Mr & Mrs!!! Naturally, I will post highlights of their day right here. They are also going to do an engagement session, which I will start doing again in the Spring. And they've already discovered my blog so are well on their way to becoming blog-addicts like most of my 2007 brides & grooms!
Check my dates booked to see if I'm available to photograph your wedding.

The latest Storybook Album Design!
I finished Jessica & Eric's wedding album design last week, so they could see it before leaving on their delayed honeymoon. My goal was to tell the story and really show the happiness of the new Mr & Mrs. They really shine together! When I talked to her last week, Jessica told me how fun their day was- and how pleased she is with the design. Later, her mom said how much she enjoyed seeing the Frazier International History Museum in the backgrounds.
Here are some of my favorite spreads-- I think you can tell a good time was had by all, don't you?
A lot of people ask what program I use in designing these albums. Well, actually, I design them by hand so there is no special program or templates. I use Photoshop and I customize each photo on a page and do all the layouts specific to the photos. I like knowing that each album is as unique as the day itself.

I have email again--yay!!!
My apologies to those who have tried to contact me. Until recently, I thought email was foolproof. Last week not only was I not receiving email--but the sender was not even getting a bounce-back that the delivery failed! My tech-guy discovered that for some reason my server was messing up. Over the weekend my website was moved to a better server so everything is fixed now. Whew!

Bridget & Mat's album is here!
What a wonderful day they had- and it sure shows in the pictures. They chose the chocolate brown glove leather for the cover- looks very elegant. These are called Storybook Albums because they do just that. You can see the first spread really tells the story of the girls getting ready; and I also like the page that shows all the girls having fun laughing together. And the double-page spread of Bridget walking down the aisle is a real 'ooh' and 'aah' page.
Click here to see the whole album. Check out the photo on the last page, not only is the Ali Center using it in their marketing, but Bridget & Mat are going to order a large print of this image to go over their mantle!

You helped me set a new record!
This holiday season has been the busiest ever-- this is the first time I had to bring in reinforcements week after week! Pinkie came over every week for these past couple months just to work on getting orders ready for the lab and then packaged and shipped out to you. She did a great job and I'm happy to say that everything is done!!! A big shipment went out today and the rest are ready to be picked up. Whew!

Carrie & Craig are married!!!
What a perfect blue-sky day to get married. Who would have thought for December in Louisville Kentucky? The wedding party was something like 19 people- and it was great that they were all so relaxed enjoying the day right along with Carrie and Craig. The little flowergirls and ringbearer were amazing-- I couldn't believe how well they did considering how long a day it is for the little ones. The wedding was at Middletown Christian with the reception at Holiday Inn Hurstbourne. Pinkie and I took HUNDREDS of photos and I can't wait to look at them all. Here's a sneak-peek:
I love this shot-- it's all about that feeling as soon as the dress is on.
Craig is such a romantic- he gave her a diamond necklace and this photo album with a pic of them on the front with the title, "Our Journey".
The church looked wonderful- there were poinsettias everywhere.
Carrie admiring her wedding band just seconds after the ceremony.
The four youngest members of the wedding party- aren't they precious?
The cake by Carol Smith and the flowers by Country Squire.
How heartwarming to see the parents still together and that Carrie & Craig honored them by putting their wedding photos on display at the reception. Both sets of parents and families were so nice, too!
Playing cards as keepsakes- fun!
A romantic first dance....
The newlyweds leave for the tropics tomorrow...lucky them! Check back soon as I will be posting more pictures....

Back from vacation!
And I'm VERY well-rested. Which is a good thing as a lot of people have been calling today wanting to book for 2007. Looks like next year will be another great one!
I spent a couple days on Miami Beach- love the energy here!
Then we boarded the Queen Mary 2- one of the largest ocean liners in the world. It is huge!!!
Here are a couple interior shots- everything was so plush.
The boat is British, as is my mom. The trip was her idea.
Barbados.... love the architecture!
St. Kitts was so scenic. I rented a motor scooter and explored. And of course, stopped lots of times so I could take pictures!
St. Thomas....
Traditonal English Tea every afternoon on the boat- one of the reasons why my clothes are so tight!!!
