Andie & Nate's big day (and mine, too!)
I couldn't have asked for a more fabulous couple or a nicer day for my LAST wedding ever! Everyone-- the families, the guests, the wedding party-- was so much fun. I know I had a smile all day, although a part of me was just a little sad to be ending this chapter...

We started out shooting the rehearsal dinner cruise the night before on the CQ Princess.
Andie & Nate provide a birthday cake for one of the Junior Bridesmaids- how thoughtful ;-)
And Andie schemed to surprise her matron of honor: It was her tenth anniversary and she had a surprise vow renewal on board the boat-- wow!
The wedding party gals were tons of fun. I have so many pictures of them laughing it up!!! Here we are at the salon, the morning of the big day....
Well, you just know it's going to be a great day when there's Tiffany boxes involved! (There was actually a fourth one Andie didn't know about...Nate surprised her with a Tiffany bracelet! She surprised him with Tiffany cufflinks!)Me...! Yup, I lend a hand wherever I can, too...you know, full service and all that~

So I'm going to make some outrageously awesome final Storybook Albums to close out my wedding photography career and then it's on to my new life: I'm going to be selling my nature photography prints to the corporate world...all images will be super-sized. Amy & Ted's perfect wedding day!
I felt so lucky to be at Doe Run Inn on truly the most fabulous day of the year. Get this: it was sunny with blue skies but NOT HOT! Whoo-hoo! Amy and Ted had a truly perfect day for an outdoor ceremony:

They actually got married on this island (yes a real island in Kentucky)!

Katie & Jim are Mr & Mrs!
What a sweet wedding day Katie and Jim had. Their emotional ceremony was full of meaning and even a few tears! SO many highlights of their day caught my eye-- here's a sneak peek:

It takes a village to get dressed-- yes Katie really is under there!Among Jim's gifts to Katie: a memory album, a bling-y bracelet and this dress for her to wear on the honeymoon. I'm in total awe of him!!!Congratulations you two!

Shooting my last wedding today at this church!!!

I've been a wedding photographer for eight years and it's been a great ride. I've LOVED each one and I'm excited to be doing something new. I'm going to be doing nature photography, selling extra large prints to the corporate world. And I will be sure to offer smaller prints to those of you wanting to hang something in your homes.

New Storybook Album!
Wow-- I have lots and lots of stuff to post!!!
I really believe in telling a story with my albums, which is why I named them Storybook Albums in the first place. I want people who don't even know the couple to get a sense of their personality and to feel the mood of the day.

So check out Tara and Ben's wedding album and see if you can feel their love and big personalities!!

BTW, I completed this design a couple months ago--they loved it and the actual leather album is on it's way!

I just looked at the storybook album... it is AMAZING!!! I couldn't have done what you have with this album. You told our story exactly how we lived it, and it took me right back to the most amazing day of my life. You showed the love, the friendship, and most of all how much fun we all had! They say you remember things better than they were, but this album shows that it was exactly as I remember. All that hard work really did pay off, and looking through the album reminds me of that. I don't want to change a thing about it (although I need to get final approval from the hubby :) )! I couldn't be happier with it, and I can't wait to have it in our living room to show to every person that comes into our home for years to come. Thank you so much, you have created such amazing memories for Korey and me that we will cherish forever.

This is Rachel and Anthony's super-cool album. It's the cover beautiful? Check out the understated branding of their names and how nice it looks with the ring photo... Like all albums I do, I designed this album 'blind' with no input from the couple. And like most of my clients, Rachel and Anthony loved their album exactly as I designed it. I really try to present a hassle-free experience and am so honored when I get it right.

I just finished looking at the AMAZING pics of Jess and Korey's wedding. How in the world am I going to choose when they are all so beautiful?! I am just blown away. You've managed to capture every moment and each picture tells a little more of the story of their magical day. It's like I'm there all over again, which is wonderful because at the end of the night when it was over, I told my husband that I felt like I had missed it all. You truly have a gift for photography and I feel so blessed that my kids are now part of the "Liz Images Family". Louisville wedding reception, Alicia & Darrin
This sweet couple got married in Hawaii last month and booked me to photograph the reception in Louisville.... I know, I know, I offered to fly to Hawaii to shoot their wedding but it just didn't work out. But did you know you can book me for small custom packages if you book less than six weeks out? I do that a couple times a year and it's a win-win deal!
The reception was at the new Gingerwoods Event Hall. I love how Alicia included little Hawaii touches such as sea shells on the tables....
One of the wedding gifts was corn hole, one UK and one UL. They were personalized with their names and wedding date, too.
Naturally, the bride had to try it out! A lot of people played-- what a fun, laid back reception~~
Ok, and these are my new addiction: Hershey's macadamia nut kisses-- sold only in Hawaii. From now on I'm going to have it in my contract that all couples honeymooning there must bring me back an unopened bag! Yummy!

Laura has such natural beauty, doesn't she? She was so relaxed before the ceremony...With her girls getting ready to walk down the aisle--love the dresses and flowers!Another example of the benefits of two photographers! Laura actually had THREE Liz Images photographers for her day~!Checking in with each other before their reception entrance....Eric gave the toast-- which was more like a roast. Paybacks to Gehrig when he was best man at Eric & Ashley's wedding!So Laura and Gehrig are married--yay!!! Welcome to Andrea & Nathan, my newest clients. Andie booked me after talking with me on the phone about their wedding plans and photography expectations. She lives out of state and knew she needed to book me before someone else did. A while ago I had a bride who lived in Germany book me via email. The Guest Book!
I just wanted to show you Beth and Erich's custom guest book. The books come with red, navy, black or chocolate covers. And the names or wedding date can be embossed on the front in gold or silver. Since I make the pages in Photoshop, the backgrounds and borders can be practically any color. I've made them with all sorts of colors~~~ Then the guests sign with a Sharpie of any color.

And it's nice to have your engagement pics in a book to keep!

Beth & Erich's guest book!
What is cooler than having the guests sign a photo album with YOUR engagement pictures in it? And since I design these in Photoshop, you can use your wedding colors, have lines or no lines, colored borders etc. The end product is an actual book that comes in a brown, navy, black or red cover. A great keepsake-- plus it's fun to have your engagement pics in an album! I'll be sure to post pics of Beth & Erich's guest book in action on their big day!

I offer parent Storybook Albums (custom-designed so it is not a clone of the bride and groom's) AND I offer traditional matted albums. This is one of the matted parent albums from Kimberly and John's wedding. This is the first time someone ordered the pearl and gold combination. I didn't think I'd like it-- but doesn't it look sharp! I think gold may be making a comeback....

Happy Anniversary to Megan & Ryan!
Yup, they were the ones who had BOTH the church and the reception cancel on them just 3 days before the wedding! That was because the wind storm had knocked out power to much of Louisville. Their story had a happy ending in that everyone pulled together and made it happen--and they had a fairytale cermony in Megan's parent's backyard.

I saw Megan and Ryan the other day and they are doing great. In fact, Megan is shooting with me now! I like that I keep in touch with so many of my past clients. If you are one of them, be sure to drop me a line and let me know how you are doing. Or friend me on Facebook!

Becky & Steve have their album!
Yup, these are more than just slideshows-- the Storybook is an actual album, too! Becky and Steve's day was extra special in that it was their 10 year vow renewal. When you view their album you will see the extra pages I designed to include their three kids who were a big part of the day!
It was VERY inspiring to shoot Becky & Steve's wedding-- they've still got it after 10 years of marriage! So, even if you've been married for years, you too can have a renewal and get your own Storybook Album!

It's exciting to show you all these new Storybook Album designs. As you know, each one is as unique as the day itself--- and my clients don't have to be bothered trying to make their album. I do all the picking and designing for them and then they have the option to make changes. Most of my clients love them just as they are-- isn't that awesome? Truly, I try to pay attention to what is important to the bride and groom that day and then I put those things into the album.

Vicki and Eric's was all about pink-- I'm especially proud of this album! They love it, too, and approved it exactly as it is.

Another new Storybook Album!
This is Toni and Tobiah's album design-- what a fun one to make with their fabulous festive ---and huge--- wedding party!

I design these 'blind' in that I get no input from the couple. That's the way I've always done it and 95% of my clients love them just the way they are. Of course I'm happy to make changes, but isn't it great for my couples not to have the hassle of picking photos and trying to make an album themselves? I know it is more work for me to do it this way, but I think the results speak for themselves.
